Missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in French Polynesia come from many countries and speak a variety of languages, including French, Tahitian and English.

To listen to the faith’s April 2020 General Conference this past weekend, their mission leader, President Steven Fox, had conference playing on different computers, in various languages. He then placed multiple cell phones nearby so missionary companionships across the country could listen in.

Normally, members and friends of the Church watch or listen to general conference in their homes or at their closest church building. COVID-19 has caused Latter-day Saints, like many others, to stay home, leading to innovative ways to connect with others.
